He was predeceased by: his wife Thressa Lovell (Van Duinen); his parents, Reuben Lovell and Eleanor Lovell (Peterson); and his sisters, Flossie Heyboer (Lovell) and Ina E. Lovell.
He is survived by: his children, Jack Lovell, Carolee Lovell, Gerald Lovell, Martha Lovell and Janice Kerman; his grandchildren, Kendal Lovell, Jane Lovell, Jon Lovell, Tammy Lovell, David Lovell, Susan Dobre, Gary Dobre, Elizabeth English, Tim English, Sarah Koets, Bryan Koets, Jennifer Nelson, Patrick Nelson, David Kerman and Amanda Kerman; his brother William Lovell of Pentwater, MI; and also David Kerman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice, the Clark Foundation for Benevolent Care, or to First United Methodist Church of Grand Rapids.
