He is survived by: his wife Alice Smead (Palsrok); his children, Tracy Holmes (Shawn), Jennifer VanNevel (Larry), Mike Opalka (Linda), Scott Opalka, Lora Plank (Robert) and Edali Medel; his grandchildren, Katie, Gavin, Phoebe, Alana and Ethan; his great grandchild Phoenix; his siblings, David Smead (Monie), Larry Smead (Brenda) and Kathy Pitcher (Patrick); and his close friend Jose Flores. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
