He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Carpenter and Martha Carpenter; his grandson Mikie; and his sisters, Linda and Marge.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Michael Carpenter (Heather), Steven Carpenter (Laura) and Karen Carpenter; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kyle, Abigail, Clancy, Devin, Asha and Trager.
