He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Emmons and Mary Emmons (Carpenter); his daughter Stephane; and his sisters, Carol and Kay.

He is survived by: his wife Clarice; his sons, Shawn Emmons (Melissa) and Todd Emmons (Jill Nichols); his grandchildren, Jake, Joseph, Hailey, London and Shane; his sister Paula Emmons; his stepdaughter Sue Maxbauer (Edward); his stepgrandchildren, Cory Udell, Andrea Ohlert and Spencer Hayes; and his friends, Bill DeLoach and Linda DeLoach. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
