He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hop and Laura Hop (Mannes); his former wife Sylvia Hop (Van Dis); his wife Beverly Hop (Morrison); his brother Jerold Hop; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Sims.
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Bazan (Terrance), Lauren Klooster (Marvin), Mary Griffin (Ted), Amy Sims (Michael), James Hop (Tena) and Thomas Hop (Rena); his stepchildren, Lisa Nixon (Dann) and Dennis Roossien (Margie); his grandchildren, Jill Bazan (Sam Hoyle), Melisa Hop (Mitch Johnson), Angela Hop (Andy Kern), Mariann Hop (William Nance), Maggie Sims, Katie Sims and Timothy Bazan (Amy); and his brother Larry (Diana).
