He is survived by: his wife Helen Garza; his children, Tiger and Dawn Maes (Richard); his grandchildren, Alexander Nelson, Kirsten Tolles, Jesse Tolles-Maes, Alisia Scheiler (Jacob), Leeonzo Maes, Nicholas Silvia and Andrew Maes; his great grandchildren, Azucena, Leticia, Lyla and Angelo; and his brother Joseph Tolles.
