He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril and Marion; his brother Jerry; and his grandson Joel "Joey" David, II. He is survived by: his wife Bess; his grandchildren, Jodi Benedict (Gary), Jill Bishop, Jeri Battle (Tom), Jeff and His; his brother Cyril Jr; and also, Marilyn Routley, Mary Drews, Vonnie Routley, JoEllen Schuberg (Terry), Bill Routley (Sharon), Larry Routley (Juanita), Bob Routley (Diana), Lorrie Routley and Jayne Spedowski (John).
Memorial donations may be made in his honor to Gift of Life Michigan as Ron participated in the program in his death, or to the Mecosta County Senior Center or to the local Boy Scout Troop 114.
