She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Sargeant and Ellen Sargeant (Burguess); her brothers, Dan Burguess and Roy Sargeant; and her sister-in-law Sue.

She is survived by: her husband Larry; her children, Sherry Bennett (Jess) of Harrison, Scott Butler of Ionia, Lori James (Jamie) of Raleigh and Terri Butler of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Alyssa Bennett, Kayleigh James, Jared Bennett, Emalee Butler, Parker Jones, Preston James and Lexie Butler; her great grandchild Princeton; and her siblings, Linda Tice (Gerald) of Alabama, Joe Sargeant (Lucy) of Pennsylvania, Norman Sargeant of Greenville and Donna Sargeant of Palo.

Memorials may be given to the Ionia Community Awareness Fund.
