He was predeceased by: his parents, William McTaggart and Alice McTaggart (Trout); his wife Joyce VanValkenburg; his son Brad McTaggart; and his siblings, Earl McTaggart, Harold "Butch" McTaggart and Helen Eaton.
He is survived by: his sons, Rob McTaggart (Sherry) and Todd McTaggart; his grandchildren, Stacy, Meghan, Randy, Ryan, Rebecca, Charity, Isaac, Danielle, Jessica, Jennifer, David, Bradley and Loren; and his siblings, Lois McCall, Louie McTaggart (Wyketia), Ruth Summerlin, Alice Blain (Pete) and David McTaggart. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews.
