He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Oswald and Sarah Oswald (Stroschein); his siblings, Raymond Oswald, Richard Oswald and Shirley Booms; his siblings-in-law, Gerald Messing and Beatrice Oswald; and his grandson Raymond Geiger.
He is survived by: his wife Marie H. Oswald of Palms; his children, Cynthia Kociba (Eugene) of Frankenmuth, Judith Allen (David) of Delta Twp, Linda Gallagher (Irish) of Benton Harbor, Mike Oswald (Crystal) of Richmond, Pat Oswald (Charlotte) of Deckerville, Mary Sheltrown (Scott) of Farmington Hills, Mark Oswald (Tangi) of Mt. Pleasant, Lori Geiger (Chad) of Brown City and James Oswald (Rachel) of Greenville; his siblings, John Oswald (Sandy) of Remus, Robert Oswald (Elaine) of St. Clair Shores and Mary Messing of Harbor Beach; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Booms of Harbor Beach, Melvin Gentner of Ruth and Robert Gentner of Houghton Lake. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Mass intentions at St. Patrick's Church, In C/O St. Isidore Parish or the Delaware Township Fire Department in memory of Jim.
