He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Tina; his child Robert Jr.; and his siblings, Mary Ellen Berger (Ted Paddock), Roseanne Berger Joanne Magalis (Tim), LuAnn Prillaman (Mike), Tommy Berger (Beth) and George S. Berger. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.A.W.S. or C.S. Motts Childrens Hospital.
