She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Francis and Annie Tobin (Dauphinee); her husband William Hermes (Bill); her son James Hermes; her brothers, John Tobin and George Tobin; her daughters, Susan and Kimberly; and her siblings-in-law, Thomas Hermes (Mary Kay), Joseph Hermes, Mike Hermes, Paul Kreft, William Pioszak (Bill), Hazel Tobin, Patricia Tobin and Betty Tobin.
She is survived by: her children, Joan "Jodie", John Hermes (Sheri Mortimore) of Colorado and Jodie Hermes of Holt; her siblings, Dolores Tobin of Lansing, Anna "Tillie" Kreft of Holt, Michael of Charlevoix and Patricia Pioszak of Lansing; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Hermes and Martha Hermes. She is also survived by six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Beekman Center or Special Olympics Area Eight in memory of Mary.
