She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Forsberg and Lydia Forsberg (Ruuska); her husband Ted; her son Daniel Nelson; and her siblings, Joni Laakso and Charles Perna.
She is survived by: her stepfather Walfred 'Wally Perna; her former husband Theodore 'Ted Nelson; her children, Francis Nelson (Michelle Ayotte) of Palmer, Michael Nelson (Susan) of Negaunee Township, John Nelson (Francine) of Arizona and Karen Nelson (Todd Martin) of Palmer; her grandchildren, Frannie Kelly (Brian), Adam Nelson (Stevie Harris), Carly Nelson (Ian Thomas), Danny Novak (Iva), Michael Novak and Hayden Nelson; her great grandchildren, Averie, Cole Kelly, Jared Nelson, Brooklyn, Braelyn Thomas, Leah and Anastasia Novak; and her siblings, Raymond Perna (Mary) of Republic, Donald Perna (Carrie) of Florida, Melvin Perna (Joy) of Wisconsin, Jeanette Pietro (Paul) of Alaska and Myrna Heilala (Jim) of Arizona. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in her memory to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or the Eastwood Nursing Center Activity Fund.
