It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Neste (Palmer, Michigan), who passed away on August 6, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent John Korpi; her brothers, Leslie Korpi, Eugene Korpi, Mello Korpi and Jack Korpi; her sisters-in-law, Bernice Korpi and Norma Korpi; and her nephew Billy Korpi.
She is survived by: her parent Olga Korpi (Helander); her daughter Betty Maki (Gerry) of Gwinn; her grandchildren, Todd Maki (Kimberly) of Ironwood, Mike Maki (Laura) of Gladstone and Jenny Messina (Sam) of Marquette; her great grandchildren, Brynn Maki, Isaac Maki, Sonya Maki, Ann Marie, Anthony Messina and Elizabeth Messina; her sisters-in-law, Kasey Korpi of Gwinn and Helen Korpi of Marquette; and her friend Jean Laituri.
