He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Y. Saari and Edna I. Saari (Pyhtila); his brothers, Kenneth Saari and Robert Saari (Patty); his nephew Jeff Saari; his sister-in-law Rita Saari; and his great-niece Kori LaFernier.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Pindral of Painesdale; his daughter Carol Saari of Painesdale; his stepchildren, Joe Sergey (Sue) of Painesdale, Jeff Sergey of Marquette, Deborah Sergey-Gagnon of Dodgeville and Richard Sergey of Richmond, MN; his siblings, Donald Saari of White Pine, Patricia Racine (Bruce) of Rockland, David Saari (Colleen A.) of Winona, Richard Saari (Cheryl) of Greenland, Elizabeth Bowling (Dan) of Ishpeming, Barbara Short (Gary) of Iron River, MI and Steven (Denise); his uncle Glenn Pyhtila (Shirley) of Hancock; his parents-in-law, Colleen G. SaarI of Winona, Kaz Pindral of Painesdale, Chester Pindral (Debbie) of Painesdale, Walter Pindral (Janie) of Painesdale, Christine Snell of Painesdale and Numerous; and his friends, Gary Koponen and Robert Meneguzzo. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
