He was predeceased by: his parents, Ansel Niemi and Lempi Niemi (Wanhala); and his siblings, Edwin Dove, Milton Dove (Jean), Eileen Nissen (Jeff), John Dove, Jarl Dove (Helen), Earl Dove (Nancy) and Linda Dove.
He is survived by: his wife Deanna Vettori; his sons, Darren and Daniel (Melissa); his granddaughter Elsa; his sister Carol Keranen; his sister-in-law Marilyn Dove; and his cousin Ruth Wisti. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
