It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Matthew Thomas Jr. of Oxford, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Michael Matthew Thomas, Sr.; and his wife Judith Thomas (Szyszka). He is survived by: his mother Patricia Thomas (Susko) of Oxford; his daughter Claire Thomas (Aaron Bennett); his siblings, Mechel Thomas of Metamora and John Thomas of Rochester Hills; his sister-in-law Amy Thomas; his nephews, Dominick Thomas and John Gustave Thomas; his niece Lindsey Mae Thomas; and his siblings, David, Mickey, Joe, Danny (Susko), Gina and Angie (Cilibraise). He is also survived by his cousins and close friends.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (715 N Lapeer Rd, Orion Twp, MI 48360).
Michael's favorite charity was Smile Train- a nonprofit organization and charity providing corrective surgery for children with cleft lips and palates.
