He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Katona and Carmela Katona (Ingrassia); and his brothers, Daniel and Michael Katona. He is survived by: his wife Marsha; his children, John Katona (Tara), Richard Katona and Laura Pavlik (George); his grandchildren, Trevor, Alexis, Kyle, Rebecca, Carter and Grayson; his siblings, Susan Olijar Hewitt (Gordon), Joseph Katona (Susan), Mary Beth Inabit (Ralph), Judy O'Leary (John) and Carole Fetke (Vince); and his sister-in-law Monica Katona.

Memorial contributions may be made in John's honor to The Lion's Club of Oxford, envelopes will be available at all services.
