He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lovely and Glendola Lovely; his siblings, Roy (Chum) and Paula; and his grandson Ethan Whittal.

He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his children, Jennifer Lovely-Whittal (Sean) and Jamie Lovely (Jaime); and his grandchildren, Jada, Luke, Isla, Camille and Alia. He is also survived by many in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
