She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Lewis Jostock and Clara Belle Slieff. She is survived by: her husband John DeGroot of Oxford; her children, Tonya DeGroot of Lapeer and Mike DeGroot of Florida; her grandchildren, Jonathan Bevis (Kathyrn) of Lapeer, Chase and Brogan DeGroot of Florida; and her siblings, Sandra Fritz of Lapeer and Timothy Morkin of Oxford. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loved family members.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Oxford American Legion Hall (130 E Drahner Rd, Oxford, MI 48371).
