He was predeceased by: his parents, Iva Dempsey and Clell Dempsey; his daughter Linda; his grandson Tyler; his wife Barbara Nank; and his siblings, Diana Troia and Robert Dempsey.
He is survived by: his sons, Gregory (Shelly) of Fostoria and Michael (Mary) of Metamora; his son-in-law Michael Trembley (Angela) of Davison; his grandchildren, Matthew, David, Rachel, Heidi and Jennifer; and his siblings, Ruth Cooper of Lake Orion and Jack (Patricia) of Brown City. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
