He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Steiner and Eleanor Steiner; his siblings, Margaret Hunt and Burton Steiner (Burt); and his son James Steiner (Jimmy).

He is survived by: his brother Martin Steiner (Sue); his wife Marge; and his daughters, Dianne Ernst, Beth Harris, Donita Sinozich, Kimberlee Evans, Christine Rehahn (Chrissy) and Starr Fagerstrom. He is also survived by children, 8 grand children, 18 great grand children and 2 great great grand children.
