He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Gertrude and Charles Wiley Gillis; and his sisters, Marlene Gillis and Patricia Turner. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Kay Gillis (England); his children, Ed Gillis (Jan), Gaye Luch (Dave) and Tom Gillis (Jenny); his grandchildren, James (Melissa), Lindsey, Hannah, Rebecca (Chris), Matthew, Emily, Christina (Ben), Trevor and Aubrey; and his great grandchildren, Josh, Ava, Adam and Camille.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion Chapel (111 E Flint St, Lake Orion, MI 48362). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
