With solemn reverence, we commemorate Ruth E. Tobey of Owosso, Michigan, whose life came to an end on January 24, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo W. Phelps and Lila M. Mercer (DeVoe); her stepfather Richard Mercer; her grandson Joshua Tobey; and her siblings, Leo W. Phelps, Paul Phelps, Mildred Laws and Pricilla Seward.
She is survived by: her husband Glenn Tobey; and her sons, Loren Tobey (Ayse), Dean Tobey (Elaine) and Allan Tobey (Cindy). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; other loving family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nelson-House Funeral Home (120 E Mason St, Owosso, MI 48867). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Northwest Venice Global Methodist Church, Shiawassee County Hospice House or Shiawassee County Fair.
