He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Shepherd and Dorothy Shepherd (Ordiway); his son Charles Shepherd; his brother Joe Shepherd; and his grandsons, Matthew and Denny Jr. Hyatt.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Shepherd; his children, Wanda Hyatt (Jim Cooper), Bonnie Shepherd, Robert Shepherd Jr., Randy Shepherd (Carrie), Stacie Zimmerman, Jolene Shepherd (Justin Johnson), Russ Jones (Joan), Mike Jones (Amy), Victoria Fisher (John) and Brian Jones (Jamie); and his sisters, Penny Hardy and Jean Leix. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home - Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473).
