She was predeceased by: her parents, James Betts and Janet Betts (Jorae). She is survived by: her children, Hailee Oszust (Luke Lindquist) and Noah Oszust (Carly White); her sister Brenda Betts; and her pets, Olive, Maggie Mae and Nahlya.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shiawassee Humane Society in memory of Michele Betts.

“Dear Hailie and Noah, Just heard this sad news of Michele's passing to heaven- I knew your mom well back in the 1990's and early 2000, my daughters and I moved to Wisconsin, Michele was the girls' sixth grade teacher, and a wonderful, caring person in every way. I remember when each of you were born, and how deeply your mom loved each of you.
