It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Emmett Bower of Owosso, Michigan, who passed away on July 1, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bower and Aurelia Bower of Owosso. He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his daughter Pam Mathias (Gary) of Haslett; his grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica) and Elisabeth Mathias; his great grandchild Phoebe Mathias; his son Terry Bower (Beckie) of West Bloomfield; his grandsons, Benjamin Bower (Mallory) of Taylor and Allen Bower (Jennifer) of Chicago; his son Jim Bower (Sharon); his grandsons, Dustin Bower (Jennifer) of Perry and Michael Bower of Owosso; his great grandchildren, Lilly, Tarick, Wyatt, Braxton and Charlotte; his siblings-in-law, Judy Mattoon, Sharon Brubaker and Jim Mattoon (Carol); his goddaughters, Kay Riordon and Jamie Schumecher; his parents-in-law, Clara and Gershom; his sister Billie Ann Striggow; and his brother-in-law Bill Striggow. He is also survived by four nieces and nephews.
