James Louis Steiss Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Louis Steiss of Owosso, Michigan, who passed away on December 1, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amna Smith (Merrill) and William Smith; his adoptive father Louis (Adeline Steiss); his wife Joyce Joan Howard; his children, Judy Kay Steiss and James Louis Steiss Jr.; his granddaughter Amber Steiss Rechner; and his siblings, Dorothy Milemon, Wilma Cowley, Ruth Austin, Barbara Krebiehl and Robert Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Steiss (Angela) of Perry and Julie Lehman (Steve) of Ithaca; his grandchildren, Shane Steiss, Lauryn, Lyndsey, Lacey, Levi Lehman and Hunter Steiss; his great grandchildren, Garren, Kyler and Sidney Steiss; and his sister Betty Doerr.
