He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Swarthout and Laura Swarthout (Duant); and his former wife Velma. He is survived by: his children, Merrill and Barry Alan; his son-in-law Robert Whipple; his siblings, Eva Weber (John), Lucky, David, Larry and Robert; his children, Deborah Dvorak-Crumpton, Douglas Swarthout (Vicki), Susan Whipple and Fritz Jr.; his grandchildren, Breean Mike Waltrip (Dvorak), Joshua Dvorak (Alma), Keeley Crumpton, Stephanie Swarthout, Jason Swarthout, Naomi Moore-Swarthout, Deona Atkins (Swarthout), Fritz A Swarthout and Tori Irizarry (Jason); his great grandchildren, Tad Tjernagel, Amber Tjernagel, Kari Obert (Tjernagel), Quinn, Kaden Waltrip, Dora, Alyssa Dvorak, Alana Smith (Cody), Cody Lawrence, Hayden Atkins, Bryce, Corbyn, Mason Swarthout and Julian Irizarry; his great great grandchildren, Aza Tjernagel, Violet, Alexandria Obert (Lexi), Ana, Kaden Smith, Emmaline and Claire Swarthout; and his nieces and nephews, Lynn, Sandy, Kathy, David, John and Jackie. He is also survived by 4 infant grandchildren.
