We are sad to announce that on December 23, 2024, at the age of 100, Helen Mary (Buck) Matthies of Owosso, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Buck and Laura Buck (Butler); her husband Ralph Matthies; her son James; and her siblings, Alice Hoagland, Norma Socks and Richard Buck.
She is survived by: her children, William Matthies (Ann) and Linda Frolka (John); and her grandchildren, Dan Matthies (Esther), Brian Matthies (Crystal), Jennifer Vermillion and Sara Frolka (Chris Begg). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 11 step-great grandchildren; other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Salem Lutheran Church (330 N Washington St, Owosso, MI 48867). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church.
