He was predeceased by: his parents, John Klapko and Erma Klapko (Bordash); his wife Martha Morrissey; his daughter Cathy Klapko; his sister Mary; and his brother-in-law Alvin Dasen.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Klapko Jr. (Laurie), Mark Klapko (Carolyn), John Klapko (Jane) and Laura Prevesk (Bill); his grandchildren, Jason, Nick, Jessica and Jacob; his great grandchildren, Eli, Adrian and Harmony; and his siblings, Steve Klapko (Mary Kay), Janet Ackley (Ken), John Klapko (Brenda) and Karen Olszeski (Darryl). He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nelson-House Funeral Home (120 E Mason St, Owosso, MI 48867). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (915 E Oliver St, Owosso, MI 48867).
In honor of his memory, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
