With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Lou Retford of Owendale, Michigan, born in Sebewaing, Michigan, who passed away on September 8, 2021 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet Lou Retford to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Gettel and Mamie Gettel (Honeywell); her husband William F. Retford; and her siblings, Robert Gettel and Barbara Svane (Rocky).

She is survived by: her children, John Retford (Gina) of Owendale and Linda Detterman (Doug) of Manchester; her grandsons, Adam Retford (Kyleigh McCarthy), Luke Retford (Natasha Dubs), Nicholas and Alexander Detterman; her great grandchild Jack Retford; and her brother Jim Gettel (Mary) of Sebewaing. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be given to Owendale United Methodist Church.
