He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert, Sr. Fifield and Hazel Fifield (Penix); his sister Linda Fifield Schaefer; his nephew Danny Schaefer; and his uncle Keith Penix.

He is survived by: his wife Caroline "Sue" Cooke; his cousin Karen Falor; and his close friends, Paula Beck, John and Kay Bond.
