He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo E. Cox and Doris Cox (Nelson); his wife Mary Lou; his son Nathaniel; and his son-in-law Lyle Birchman.
He is survived by: his children, Linda, Chad Spawr of Rochester, Brenda Birchman of Portland, MI, Dennis Cox of Ovid, MI, Lynn, Jane Cox of Laingsburg, MI and Leo Ronald Cox of Lansing, MI; his grandchildren, Ben, Jaime Cox, Alanna, Jon Cejmer, Nicole Cox, Matthew, Jessica Cox, Alexander, Katie Spawr, Ryan Spawr, Monica, Rex Rainey, Kari Birchman, Erik and Yuii Birchman; his great grandchildren, Darien, Genavieve, Leila, Orian, Mason, Spencer, Easton, Arthur and Mira; and his great great grandchild Jaycei.
