She was predeceased by: her parents, D. O. Wakefield and Georgia Thompson Wakefield; and her sister Jeanette Gruesbeck. She is survived by: her children, Charlene Hyde (Emerson Hyde) of Mason, Mike Mead (Lisa Mead) of Elsie and Pat Mead (Angie Mead) of Hudsonville, Michigan; her grandchildren, Megan Adams (Kevin), Makayla Mead and Terry Evans (Katrina); and her brother Ronald Wakefield (Sue). She is also survived by four great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Dementia Society of America.
