He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Walsh and Bessie Ilene Collier (Steward); his son Troy; and his siblings, Marsha Foster (Ken), Gary Collier and Doris Sherd (Duane).

He is survived by: his children, Trevor Collier (Sarah) of Greenville, Cody Collier and Mary Collier (Matt Green) of Ovid; his stepchildren, Sarah Losey (Jay) of Owosso and John VandenBroek (Linda) of Lansing; his grandchildren, James, Jacob and Carol; his siblings, Ed Collier (Dixie), Darlene Cook (Jack), Vern Collier (Linda), Duane Collier (Jackie) and Clarence Collier; and his sister-in-law Terry Collier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
