He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Thompson and Allie Thompson (McLain); his wife Sherry; his son Daniel J. Thompson; his son-in-law Richie Thornburg; and his sister Greta Thompson (Jim).
He is survived by: his daughters, Laurie M. Vamos (Bill) and Lisa M. Thornburg; his daughter-in-law Nancy Thompson; his grandchildren, Danielle Wescott (Brandon), Eric Vamos (Consuelo), Brian Vamos and Simon Thornburg; his siblings, Fred Thompson (Pat) and Joan Pierce (Art); and his niece Candee Seconder. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
