He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Aikin and Dorthia Aikin; his close friend Claude Brown; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Haughey and Bruce Haughey.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia Aikin (Haughey); his children, Bill Aikin (Denise O'Dell), John Aikin (Tracy Shaw) and Aimee Aikin; his grandchildren, Shaun Aikin and Summer Bentley; his great grandchild Brantlee McCoy; his siblings, Frank Aikin, Gordon Aikin (Cookie), Ella Ives, Edith Goheen and Dorothy Mason; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Haughey (Carol), William Haughey (Jennifer), Vicky Haughey and Barbara Smith (David). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
