He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Ruby and Mary Ruby; his wife Marjorie Heddon; and his children, Tim Ruby, Kathleen Ruby and Krystal Ruby.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Short, Laura Petherbridge (Gene) and Mark Ruby (Michele Sprung); his grandchildren, David Short, Timothy Short, Elizabeth Ryan and Heather Sprung; his great grandchildren, Deztiny Short, Timothy Short, Jr., Kaitlynn Short, Bowen Ryan and Raelyn Ryan; his great great grandchildren, Audry and Mila; and also Holly Bostic (Bill).
