He was predeceased by: his brother Mark Swartwood (Sue). He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Maria O'Connor (Tim) and Nathan Swartwood (Kim); his grandchildren, Devin (Shelby) and Olivia; his great grandchildren, Alex, Aleah and Wade (Emily); and his sister Lila Mash (Percy).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Old Newsboys, 6255 Taylor Dr., Flint, MI 48507 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
