With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma J. Smalla (Otsego, Michigan), born in Allegan, Michigan, who passed away on August 18, 2019 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Taylor and Beatrice Taylor (Clawson); and her siblings, June and Ivan. She is survived by: her husband Steven Smalla; and her children, Cindi Witt (Dan) of Gobles, Bill Jr. Doest (Diana) of Allegan, Sharon Milhiem (Bruce) of Otsego, Ron Doest (Louellen) of Allegan and Rick Doest (Dawn) of Plainwell. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
