He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Ingold and Fern Ingold (Newton); his granddaughter Taryn Rambadt; his brother Russell Ingold; his niece Stephanie; and his nephew Cody.

He is survived by: his spouse Kim Carlson; his children, Shelly Rambadt (Ryan) of Otsego, Glenn Ingold (Carrie) of Kalamazoo and Anthony Ingold (Samantha) of Kalamazoo; his grandsons, Dylan, Matthew, Mason, Ray and Levi; and his siblings, Alfred Ingold, Julie LeMahieu, Mary Graham (Byron) and Donna (Ricky).

Contributions in memory of Merle may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
