She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Garton and Letha Garton (Taggart); her spouse Medford Starr; her siblings, Thelma Vickery (Clifford) and Earl "Pete" Garton (Margie); her stepfather Gerald Helmer; and her siblings-in-law, Paul Starr (Dorothy), Marjorie Luttrell (August), Winifred Roberts (Wilbur), Pauline Jimerson (Russell) and Barbara Bartz (Mondo).
She is survived by: her sons, Norman Starr (Nancy) of Otsego and Medford Starr (Sally) of Otsego; her grandchildren, Jana Starr, Kishella Roelof (Dave), David Starr (Cheryl), Cherie Owens (George), Natalie Wolhuis (Troy), Todd Starr (Anna) and Mike Blackwell (Melissa); her great grandchildren, Tyler (Brittany), Justin, Jacob Starr, Delaney, Madie Starr, Trevor (Allie), Ty (Kamery), Trae, Cheyton Blackwell, Kelsey Bohl (Jeremy) and Jordan Owens (Sarah); her great great grandchildren, Phoenix, Kennedi and Emmy; her sister Letha Cary (Nick); and her stepsisters, Judy Dee and Lorene Lemson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
