He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bont and Ruby Bont; his grandchildren, Anneka and Landon Vels; his siblings, Kenny, Milford Bont and Katherine Johnson; and his brother-in-law Robert Ferris.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ferris; his daughter Laura Vels (Peter); his grandson Jonathan Vels (Eleanor); his brother-in-law Ron Ferris; his nephews, Rick Ferris (Agnes), Randy Ferris (Jenn) and Rod Ferris (Pam); and his niece Chantel Akins (Harry).
Contributions in memory of Lewie may be made to the First Baptist Church of Otsego.
