He was predeceased by: his father Phillip Leonard; and his brother Phillip. He is survived by: his mother Marie Leonard (Collick) of Georgia; his wife Brenda Grimm; his children, Michael Leonard of Otsego and Kellie Simmons (Leonard) of Kalamazoo; his grandsons, Tyler Leonard, Carter Leonard and Preston Simmons; and his siblings, Terry Whitney (Brian) of Plainwell, Sherry Heitman (Tom) of Flushing and Barry Leonard (Deanna) of Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
