He is survived by: his wife Mary Dumas; his sons, William "Bill" Artis (Tammy) of Kalamazoo and Mike Artis of Kalamazoo; his daughter-in-law Susan Artis of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Dale, Matthew Jr., Tara (Corey), David and Lucas; his brother Jimmy Artis (Pam); and his sisters-in-law, LaVaune Artis and Lesley Artis.
