She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Thayer and Mary Thayer (Powel); and her siblings, Russ, Lloyd Thayer, Helen Holloway, Mary Slaybaugh and Shirley Hoeksema.
She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Spencer; her sons, Dave Spencer (Ingrid) of Otsego and Don Spencer (Lisa) of Grand Rapids; her grandchildren, Nolan Spencer (Mila) of Grand Rapids, Brittany Spencer (Daniel Boutte) of Tennessee and Max Spencer (Ashley) of Oregon; her great grandchildren, Odin, London and Madelyn; and her brother John (Nancy).
