With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John J. Hawk (Otsego, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on September 21, 2024 at the age of 69, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Hawk and Catherine "Kitty" Hawk (Lavin); and his brother James Michael Hawk. He is survived by: his wife Maria Hawk; his children, John "Johnni" Hawk Jr., Maria "Kitty" Hawk (Michael Troub), Gabriela "Gabbi" Lynch (Paul) and Isabella "Izzy" Hawk; his grandchildren, Gavin, Emmett John, Cecelia, Beau and Maggie; and his siblings, Katie Loss (Skip), Hilda Stefan (Mark) and Bernie Hawk. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Winkel Funeral Home (207 E Allegan St, Otsego, MI 49078). A rosary was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Margaret's Catholic Church (766 S Farmer St, Otsego, MI 49078). A burial was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Fort Custer National Cemetery (15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012).
