He was predeceased by: his parents, Adelbert G. Smith and Jacqueline Smith (Cushman). He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Smith (Spayde); his daughters, Katrina VanHoose (Jim) of Battle Creek, Elisabeth Formet (Gary) of Orlando, Gretchen Lyle (Tim) of Kalamazoo and Nicole Lewis (John) of Portland, Oregon; and his sister Janice Larson of Wyoming, Michigan.. He is also survived by four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two nephews, and two great-granddaughters.
