He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Rantz and LaVerne Rantz (Allen); his wife Janet Johncock; his great grandchild Gunner; his son-in-law Brian Gordon; and his siblings, Evelyn, Janet, Donna, Bill and David.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Rantz (Melodye) of Jenison, Don Rantz (Tina) of Martin, Dar Rantz (Knick Knickerbocker) of Shelbyville, Dean Rantz of Shelbyville, Kelly Rantz of Shelbyville and Margie Day of Hamilton; and his sister-in-law Gail Rantz. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
